Porcelain Bowl 'from the sea'
This handmade bowl has been hand stamped with the wording 'from the sea' in a deep blue glaze. Fragments of glass have been collected from the beach or other recycled sources. It is then fired to create a reflective pool of glass in the base of each little pot. Glass colours vary between green, brown and blue.

Each one is then hand painted on the face leaving the surrounding wood in its natural state, adding an extra dimension to the shape. Finally each letter is waxed. The nature of the wood means that there will be variations in finish and texture which further enhances the individuality of each piece.
