I love the colour, texture and time worn look of these facinating ceiling tin tiles.
Rescued from buildings in the US they are a great find.
They would make striking wall art but if sealed would also be a bold statement used as a splash back for kitchen or bathroom.
You can of course paint them to match your own colour but the original paintwork and subtlety of the colour on these tiles would blend sympathetically with many schemes.

Robust and rustic is how I would describe these baskets sourced from the La Rochelle and Il de Re district along the French coast.
Hints of remaining paintwork on the baskets indicate ownership.
The strength of these baskets means they have unlimited ways of using in the house or garden.

Shoe Lasts
My first sight of these lovely old lasts was whilst they were still covered with years of grime.
Much scrubbing and polishing later revealed the usual time worn marks but also beautiful graphics and irresistably tactile honey coloured wood.
A lovely collecter's piece but with a simple piece of wooden dowel would also make a great kitchen or loo roll holder.
Mounted on the wall as an even more unusual hook.

Sacking Cushion
These cushions are made from an antique German grain sack from 1868.
The reverse is made from exceptionally lovely linen rescued from antique French Military sleeping bags no less!
Finished off with vintage English linen buttons for a final flourish!
