Wonderful old, tactile French wooden boards which I'm told were originally used for proving, as well as serving bread.
An unusual shape that will lend itself to display as well as serving breads or your chosen hors d'oeuvres.

Vintage Wooden 'KIWI' Shoe Caddy
A lovely old shoe caddy, from around the 50's-60's which has the faint remains of a 'kiwi' label on the handle.
A much more stylish way to store all your brushes!
Vintage Wall Cupboard
A lovely vintage (probably 50's) English wall cupboard which has been sanded to reveal layers of green hues revealing a distressed but very attractive finish.
A glass handle completes a lovely one off piece.
Vintage Wooden Spools
There is a lovely aged patina on these collectable spools.
Ideal for tidying all those stray threads and ribbons.
A central hole makes it easy to display a group together either hanging or on a spike, to great effect.
Decorative French Bird Cage
Beautifully weathered wood and metal vintage bird cage rescued from France. It has a small opening that slides up and down.
A very pretty cage to be hung around the house or in your conservatory. Decorate with faux (or real!) ivy and little battery lights.
Vintage American Gym Baskets
These fabulous gym storage baskets, with classic number labels, originate from Pennsylvania in the USA.
Made by Penco Products Inc a subsidiary of The Alan Wood Steel Company which operated from 1919 until the early 1980's.
There are signs of rust and aging as you would expect but they are sturdy baskets.
There is a metal loop at the front of the basket which originally had a rod running through it which allowed the user to swing the basket outwards, an idea which could still be incorporated into it's use today.

Vintage Laundry Baskets
Beautiful French laundry baskets which still have the remains of wooden runners at the base.
Although well made these baskets have had a productive life and the scars to prove it.None the less that doesn't detract from their aesthetic qualities, each basket having its own distinct weave (as pictured)
Too nice to be hidden away they would make wonderful storage and display baskets.
Vintage Hungarian Stool
A layer of white paint has been sanded back to reveal vibrant original green paintwork which is so typical of some of the small Hungarian pieces of furniture.
This lovely old stool will add a shot of colour to your home as well as being incredibly useful.
Vintage Filing Cupboard
Rather harder to find these days this unusual wooden shelving/filing unit was made by Remploy in the 70's.
It has 7 shelves which can be repositioned at different levels.To the left of the shelving are metal label holders which allow you to display your choice of wording.As an example I've shown it with 'Post' and 'Bills' but you can use it to store paperwork, craft materials etc
A really nice vintage piece with the usual wear and tear expected from something that has had a working life!
Vintage Belgian Chairs - Set of 4
A very nice set of 4 vintage Belgian folding chairs.They all have the original folding mechanisms but the wooden slatting has been replaced in recent years.

Vintage French Stool
Lovely rustic vintage French stool with stencilled number '3' in a mixture of distressed soft creamy colours.
The original colours have been left untouched with exception of light sanding and waxing.

This is such a pretty tea set.
Nothing beats drinking tea from a lovely china cup.
Delicate roses decorate this 19 piece set of vintage china consisting of 6 cups and saucers, 6 tea plates and a sugar bowl.
Edged in gold with signs of gentle wear but still with many years of enjoyment ahead!
Antique Fabric Cushions Double Red Stripe
These wonderfully tactile flax linen cushions are made from reclaimed antique Hungarian flour and grain sacks and fabric dating from around 1920. Each piece has a unique character and quality with the stripe pattern used to indicate ownership. These textured cushions have a light sandy background with a double red stripe. The seams of the sacks have been incorporated into the design creating an interesting and unusual feature.
Tintin Buttons Red
For all those Tintin fans out there here is a very special find!
Each soft coloured red button has the wording TINTIN*MILOU - Milou I believe being the French for my hero Snowy!
Revive an old favourite shirt or jumper with a few of these gems and you're bound to cause a stir!

These wonderfully tactile flax linen cushions are made from reclaimed antique Hungarian flour and grain sacks and fabric dating from around 1920. Each piece has a unique character and quality with the stripe pattern used to indicate ownership.Where possible the seams are incorporated into the making providing further interest and texture.The cushions come in a set of 2, with either a single burgundy or blue stripe.

A very pretty old french cupboard, with a single drawer and 3 shelves(base is included as a shelf).The catch on the door is slightly wobbly but as its the original it was too nice to change!

Vintage Leather Suitcases
Both these leather vintage suitcases have led full lives. There are signs of damage and wear and tear on both cases, yet they still have huge appeal and make for great storage.
The open suitcase pictured is believed to be lined with pigskin and has a series of internal pockets and straps. A striking feature is a silver hallmarked catch engraved with 'Makers to the Royal Family, Drew & Sons, Picadilly Circus W'.
The intials C.A.C. appear on the top of the case. There are metal closures and reinforced leather corners.

Vintage Belgian Ladder
A rather unusual and beautiful vintage ladder, sourced from Belgium. Having been discovered with layers of grime, and the expected knocks and scrapes, it has been painstakingly sanded to reveal the beautiful grain of 2 types of wood.
A striking piece of furniture for any room and a perfect vehicle for display. Lean easily against a wall, hang horizontally from the ceiling or display in the garden...endless possibilities!
Vintage Folding Benches
These German benches are the perfect size for an al fresco morning coffee and can be folded for easy storage. They have been restored but the original folding mechanism will show signs of wear for that lovely vintage look.
They are perfect for moving around the garden where extra seating is needed.
With the slatted seating they make a very pretty, unusual alternative bench for a hallway, kitchen or bedroom.
Designs can vary slightly between each bench.

Vintage Flag Cushion
Handmade from a piece of vintage "British Made" French flag fabric which was allegedly used as a prop in the filming of 'Foyle's War'.
Backed with vintage hessian Belgian bread sacking and finished with vintage metal buttons to create a truly unique cushion.
Vintage Table & 4 Chairs
It is becoming harder to find original cafe style furniture, these have been sourced from Belgium and are gently worn & weathered. The sets include an original table and four renovated chairs (re-slatted with original metal mechanisms). Repainted in Farrow & Ball, Wimborne White.
Why not use throughout the year, dot around the house where a pretty chair is needed to create a light and relaxed feel. Mix with textured vintage cushions for that informal 'bringing the outdoors in' style.
The table and chairs are strong and practical and each piece will fold away for easy storage.

Vintage Tea Tins
Perfect for your vintage collection and great to store your bits and pieces.
These fabulous original 50’s tea tins were used for tea samples from North India, Malawi & Bangladesh to sell tea to one of the major blenders. A small amount was retained for a year in case of any quality claim by a buyer. After the year had elapsed and the new season begun, the old samples would be tipped out and given or sold to staff.

Stunning coloured mason jars with zinc screw top lids.Production started in America in the later part of the 1800's.
Current stock is from around 1920's-30's.The wording and design on each jar may be subtly different depending on the period that it was manufactured.

Vintage Belgian Blanket
**Special Offer** Every now and then it's great to find something a bit different but useful as well.
These Belgian blankets seemingly appear to be brand new and are thought to be unissued army stock.
They are a brilliant size with the added bonus of being thick & soft with a whipped edge. Big enough for a sofa or bed throw, wrapping up in front of the tv or tough enough as a family picnic blanket.
Gorgeous deep green colour with contrasting underside which I would describe as loden.
The letters ABL appear in a row towards one end of the blanket.
Grab one as they wont be around for long!
